INDIANAPOLIS (Oct. 24, 2023) – Republican gubernatorial candidate and former Indiana Secretary of Commerce Brad Chambers today released the following statement on Indiana joining dozens of states and the District of Columbia in suing Meta for its features that are harming the mental and physical health of the nation’s youth:
“I applaud Attorney General Todd Rokita and his office for their work to take action against Meta; there’s nothing more important than safeguarding our children,” stated Chambers.
“That’s why, as governor, one of my top priorities will be to empower parents and protect Hoosier children from the dangers and harms caused by excessive use of social media, as well as access to inappropriate material online. Tomorrow, I’ll begin to unveil my plan to ensure that Hoosier children are protected during a critical time in their development.”
