Chambers for Indiana Announces Senior Leadership Team

INDIANAPOLIS (Sept. 6, 2023) – Chambers for Indiana today announced its senior leadership team of campaign chairman Kyle Hupfer, senior strategist Marty Obst, senior communications advisor Jennifer Hallowell, and campaign manager Matt Huckleby.

Campaign Chairman Kyle Hupfer

Kyle Hupfer is a partner at Taft Law. Working with various candidates over the years, he has proven to be one of Indiana’s most effective leaders in Indiana politics.

Hupfer’s previous political experience includes serving as the chairman of the Indiana Republican Party for six-and-a-half years, where he led the party to unprecedented success across the state. Republicans now hold every statewide office, both U.S. Senate seats, seven of nine congressional seats, supermajorities in both chambers of the Indiana Legislature, 71 mayoral offices, and over 90 percent of county elected offices. He has also served as general counsel of the Republican National Committee.

In addition to party politics, Hupfer has experience in statewide campaigns, serving as campaign manager of Governor Eric Holcomb’s reelection bid in 2020, a race that set the state record for total votes cast for a gubernatorial candidate, and as the Marion County coordinator for Mitch Daniels 2004 election bid.

Senior Strategist Marty Obst

Marty Obst is the founder and president of MO Strategies. Prior to his current position, Obst served as senior political advisor to Vice President Mike Pence and in various positions in politics at the national and state levels.

Obst’s previous political experience includes serving as chairman of the vice president’s operation of the Trump-Pence reelection bid in 2020. He has also served as the advisor to America First Policies, the 501(c)(4) organization tasked with promoting the White House agenda, which he co-founded, and as the chairman of the Great America Committee. Obst also served as the campaign manager for then-Governor Mike Pence’s reelection bid in 2016 before serving as the campaign manager and director of operations for the vice presidential campaign.

Senior Communications Advisor Jennifer Hallowell

Jennifer Hallowell is the president of Hallowell Consulting, LLC, a government relations and communications consulting firm. She has nearly thirty years of experience managing organizations and advising leaders at the federal, state, and local levels.

Hallowell’s extensive campaign history includes serving as the Director of Political Strategy for Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels in his first election, as a consultant for the Michigan Republican Party during the successful 2010 gubernatorial election, and as the executive director of the Indiana Republican Party. She has served as the general consultant for Congressman Luke Messer, Indiana Secretary of State Connie Lawson, Indianapolis Mayor Greg Ballard, Fishers Mayor Scott Fadness, among others. In 2008, she was a regional campaign manager for Senator John McCain’s presidential campaign.

Campaign Manager Matt Huckleby

Matt Huckleby is the vice president of MO Strategies. Prior to his current position, Huckleby served as the executive director for the Indiana Republican Party and district director for Congressman Larry Bucshon.

Huckleby’s previous political experience includes serving as the deputy campaign manager of Governor Eric Holcomb’s reelection bid in 2020 and as political director for Eric Holcomb for Indiana and then-Governor Mike Pence’s reelection bid in 2016. He has also served as the campaign manager of Congressman Larry Bucshon’s reelection bid in 2014.
